Rural & Community Information Clinics: Community Funding Opportunities

10 October 2023

Clare County Council’s Rural Development Directorate has scheduled a series of walk-in clinics to support Community Groups/Organisations in project development and funding opportunities in a number of key areas: Community, Climate Action, Biodiversity and Heritage.

We would encourage community groups and organisations who require guidance and support around the development of their ideas or projects in their local area to come along to one of these sessions to meet our Rural & Community Development Officers:

  • Grainne McCormack (Shannon)
  • Niamh Wiley (Ennis & Ennistymon)
  • Darren Carroll (Scariff & Tulla)
  • Seamus Murrihy (Kilrush)

who will be joined by Kelly Slattery, Community Climate Action Officer, Barry O’Loughlin, Biodiversity Officer and Dr. John Treacy, Heritage Officer at each venue.

The following funding schemes are set to open for calls for applications from Community Groups/organisations in the coming months:

  • Community Climate Action Programme
  • Clare Local Area Grants Scheme (CLAGS) 2024
  • Heritage Council funding

If you are unable to attend on the scheduled dates below and have a funding query please email the Rural & Community Development Officers at rcdo@clarecoco.ie
